The Yorkshire Film Archive on
BBC1's Country Tracks this Sunday, 25th July.
>>> The Yorkshire Film Archive is a registered charity, and company limited by guarantee, which finds, preserves and provides public access to moving images, about Yorkshire and the Humber.
We hold over 16,000 items of film and video tape, ranging from films made by the early pioneering filmmakers of the late 19th Century, to recent footage of the changing landscapes and life in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
The Archive is located within the Fountains Learning Centre at York St John University, in the centre of York, and has purpose-built premises which include specialist film vaults, film repair and conservation facilities, and a public access viewing room, where people can – by prior appointment – research films from our collections.
