The XX Bi-Annual East and Southern Africa Regional Branch of the International Council on Archives (ESARBICA) General Conference on “Documentary Heritage Management in the Digital Age: Beauty and the Beast” will be hosted by the National Archives of Namibia on 21 to 26 June 2009.

The forthcoming ESARBICA Conference seeks to highlight some of the challenges faced by archives, libraries, museums, historical societies and other repositories in the ESARBICA region in dealing with digital information which was ushered in by the advent of information and communication technologies and the knowledge economy.
